Visit Britain comes to visit Torridon: "Outdoor heaven"
by Neil on August 17, 2009
For the last few weeks, Visit Britain has kept everyone up to date with their Edge of Britain blog. Scott Ramsay had the job of documenting his travels round the British Coast visiting famous spots and lesser-known gems along the way. Happily he stayed at the Torridon Inn while he was here – reporting that “the service and the rooms are great” – and tried his hand at kayaking on Loch Torridon with Chris from our activities team. “Torridon’s Chris Wilson woke me up at 4am in the morning, and took me kayaking on the loch. No wind, orange sunrise, still water, looming mountains across the loch…it was worth the early rise.” Glad to hear it.
Neil knits together this blog, Twitter and Flickr with the clumsy enthusiasm of a puppy with a ball of wool. This is all his fault and he will suffer for it.
A luxury hotel in Scotland, a gourmet restaurant, a cosy Highland inn, smart self catering accommodation and a Highland adventure activity centre, The Torridon has everything you could want from a Scottish holiday. To find out more and to book online please visit the main Torridon website.
