It’s true. As reported in the Daily Mail, the Daily Telegraph and the Press and Journal this morning, The Torridon has been voted one of the 100 best hotels in the world in the latest edition of the Sunday Times Travel Magazine. We are thrilled. It made our Torridon breakfast porridge all the sweeter this morning when we opened the papers.
As the Daily Mail pointed out, The Torridon was the only Scottish hotel on the list. The magazine said the hotel which also has a three-rosette restaurant was “isolated amid dramatic Scottish scenery… This is the place to live out your laird-of-the-manor fantasies.” Any time you like.
“It also praised the Torridon’s cheek-reddening rambles through the hills followed by slap-up five-course dinners in the grand wood-panelled dining room”. Being told that The Torridon is one of the best hotels in the world made our own cheeks redden with pride.
